The Project Manager will execute the project management functions for numerous clients and projects. The Project Manager should be an experience manager of self-performance construction projects, have strong client interface and communication competencies, and exemplary contract development and management skills.


Key Result Areas

  • Accountable for the execution of project management functions; Perform duties within the procedures established for project management; Ensure executed contracts are sound and beneficial.
  • Demonstrate high-level project manager abilities; Proficient in contract administration; Ensure accuracy of scopes of work for performance; Effective client manager and relationship builder; Proactively engage client to resolve potential issues.
  • Detect risk and develop mitigation strategy; Identify resolutions to contract, project, execution, and client issues; Establish budget for Sr. Project Manager approval; Subcontractor selection and management; Negotiation and change order management.
  • Collaborate with applicable construction operations to ensure flow of information and ability to plan for construction resources to successfully execute construction activities; Work with engineering and other technical areas soliciting support from applicable subject matter experts as needed.
  • Demonstrate, by example, behaviors of a leader within Landmark in alignment with Landmark's Mission, Vision, and Values in support of organization short and long-term objectives; Model organizational values; Set standard for behavior congruent with company ethics, morals, and expectations; Demonstrate character of integrity in day to day tasks; Contribute to and support the company's strategic plan, goals and ideas communicating the core values of the Company through leadership and example.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work, and the review and approval of tasks.
  • Direction: Receive guidance with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines.



  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 50%) by land and/or air.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, business, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing similar work in a construction capacity.
  • Experience as a Project Manager having financial accountabilities for the performance of projects in a construction industry involving self-performance of construction works.
  • Experience demonstrating high competencies in effective contract development and management; Demonstrated success assessing construction technical issues and exercising latitude in judgment for decisions to solve issues, direct personnel, evaluate construction performance, and collaborate internally with support functions.
  • Demonstrated success developing, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts with a client and subcontracts with subcontractors; Experience and technical aptitude to review specifications and identify equipment, materials, or other resource that comply with standards.
  • Effective communicator with clients, colleagues, and subordinates.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing design/build construction projects.
  • Exposure to project and client management in a municipal, government, and/or industrial industry market.
  • Experience and success managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.


Mental Requirements

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematic Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
